Elkhorn grew in the mid-1860s as a Union Pacific stop on the transcontinental railroad and took its name from the Elkhorn River. Omaha's annexation took effect March 24, 2005, which is the day Elkhorn stopped being a separate city. The Nebraska Supreme Court upheld that annexation in January 2007. ZIP 68022 is the one we schedule.

The four-block Main Street district

The traditional commercial district along Main Street runs about four blocks. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places, a listing reported in January 2025. Nineteen buildings stand in that district, and only two of them were built after 1931. The group includes a town hall, a post office, and a grain elevator. Houses on the streets around that district are the older end of an Elkhorn booking: smaller rooms and older trim. Say if the house is one of those, so the visit matches the rooms rather than a later floor plan. The Elkhorn cost page is where the bedroom and bath rows are printed. The district does not have its own rate.

Brick Lincoln Highway, 204th Street, and West Maple

The Old Lincoln Highway brick section was built in 1920. The brick is 18 feet wide and set in a concrete channel. A 0.87-mile piece, from 180th Street west to nearly 192nd Street, was nominated to the National Register in 1987. 204th Street is Nebraska Highway 31, and West Maple Road is Nebraska Highway 64. The state rebuilt and widened N-31, including the intersection at 204th and West Maple. If those are the roads you give for directions, you are on this route. The Elkhorn page is the hub for the other services.

Fire Ridge and the older subdivision names

Fire Ridge Estates, near West Dodge Road and 192nd Street, is mainly ranches and two-stories. Many of them were built in the mid-to-late 2000s, with open floor plans and garages for up to three cars. The area is zoned to Fire Ridge Elementary, Elkhorn Valley View Middle, and Elkhorn South High. An open plan means the kitchen and the family room are one space, so the counters, an island if you have one, and that floor are cleaned as a single room. A ranch keeps the work on one level. A two-story adds the bedroom floor and another bathroom. The garage entry is usually the door people use, and that is where shoes and road grit collect. Tell us the layout when you book, including the bedroom count and whether a lower floor is lived in.

Realtor guides also name Skyline Ranches, Skyline Woods, Greenbrier (some of those houses are from the 1990s), Indian Pointe, and Pacific Springs. The name is enough for us to place the stop. Each of those subdivisions uses the same price rows as Main Street and Fire Ridge.

Three high schools and Village Pointe

Elkhorn Public Schools operates three high schools: Elkhorn, Elkhorn North, and Elkhorn South. Weekday afternoons and Friday games slow the arterials beside those campuses, which is a timing note, not a price note. Village Pointe, near 168th and West Dodge, is the shopping landmark people use instead of a subdivision name. A house described as west of those shops is still this page.

What we clean in an Elkhorn house

  • Open-plan kitchen counters and the island, when the house has one
  • The sink, the stovetop, and appliance fronts
  • Every bathroom, including a lower-level bath when you tell us it is there
  • Sills, shelves that can be reached, and baseboards, including older trim near Main Street
  • Carpet vacuumed and hard floors mopped, plus the entry off a two-car or three-car garage
  • Beds made when you leave clean sheets, and the living room straightened
  • Kitchen and bathroom trash emptied

Inside the oven is $35 and inside the cabinets is $45 if you want those added. Comparing a weekly visit with an every-two-weeks visit is on weekly versus every-two-weeks cleaning cost. The service is residential cleaning. Call (712) 435-2220 with the subdivision, or with Main Street if that is the landmark, and say whether a lower floor is lived in.

How much does house cleaning cost in Elkhorn, NE?

Do you clean Fire Ridge Estates and the older Elkhorn subdivisions?

Yes. Fire Ridge ranches and two-stories near West Dodge and 192nd are on this route, and so are Skyline Ranches, Skyline Woods, Greenbrier, Indian Pointe, and Pacific Springs. The subdivision name does not change the price row.

Does a ranch in Elkhorn book differently from a two-story?

The price row is still bedrooms and bathrooms. A ranch is one level. A two-story adds the bedroom floor. An open plan, a garage entry, and a lower floor you live in are the notes that set the scope.

Is the Main Street historic district on the same route as 204th Street?

Yes. The four-block Main Street commercial district and houses out by 204th Street (Nebraska Highway 31) and West Maple (Nebraska Highway 64) are both Elkhorn, ZIP 68022.
