📞 (712) 435-2220 Get Free QuoteGretna is the Sarpy County city southwest of Omaha where Interstate 80, U.S. Highway 6, and Nebraska Highway 31 come together. ZIP 68028 is the code we schedule. A standard maid visit follows the rooms you live in. Pricing is the same across the metro and is set by bedrooms and bathrooms (see the Gretna cost page).
In the summer of 1886 the Burlington Railroad built a short line between Omaha and Ashland. A trading post called Forest City, settled in the 1850s and sitting about 2.5 miles southwest of the later town, faded because that line went around it. Holy Sepulchre cemetery marks the old Forest City site. The Lincoln Land Company surveyed and platted the Gretna town site in 1887. The city incorporated on July 10, 1889. The name was taken from Gretna Green in Dumfriesshire, Scotland. Some of the early settlers were Scottish.
That history is why the oldest rooms in a Gretna booking sit on a small grid rather than on a cul-de-sac. If your house is on the older downtown grid, tell us about stairs and trim-heavy rooms when you book.
McKenna Avenue is the historic downtown and main street. City Hall is downtown, and so is the children's library. If the landmark you give is City Hall, the stop is this older grid. In April 1979 a grocery opened at Village Square, where Highway 6 meets Highway 370, and the main business district shifted north to that corridor. Someone who says "by the highway shops" is describing a different drive from someone who says McKenna Avenue.
The city's 2040 comprehensive plan names three commercial areas: Downtown, Nebraska Crossing, and the Highway 6 and Highway 370 corridors. Nebraska Crossing is the outdoor shopping center along I-80, with more than 85 brands. South of town, Schramm Park State Recreation Area occupies the Platte's north bank and includes the historic Gretna State Fish Hatchery. An address described as past the hatchery is still a Gretna booking when it falls in the area we serve. The public school district covers about 70 square miles, so a Gretna-schools address can sit outside the original town limits. Other services in town are on the Gretna page.
Western Electric's 1956 plant in Millard triggered several Gretna residential areas in the late 1950s. The census counted 438 residents in 1950, 1,557 in 1970, and 5,083 in the 2020 Census. The Census Bureau's estimate for July 1, 2025 is 9,207, after annexations. The late-1950s streets are a smaller, older ring. The jump after 2020 is the newer edge, and a lot of that ground was annexed. A house on that edge often still carries an Omaha mailing address even when the school district and the subdivision name say Gretna. When you book, give the cross street along with the city on the mailing address.
The 2020–2024 American Community Survey reports 75.3 percent of Gretna housing units as owner-occupied, 2.82 persons per household, and 30.5 percent of residents under 18. Those figures describe the households, not our client list. What they mean for a visit is practical: most doors are owners, and many households include children, so the kitchen, the baths, and the floors are the rooms that fall behind. How often to repeat a clean is on how often to clean your house. A first visit after a long gap, when baseboards and inside appliances are part of the request, is deep cleaning rather than this standard maid visit.
Neighborhoods listed under Gretna include Tiburon, Pebblebrooke, Palisades, Standing Stone, Cedar Ridge, Falling Waters, Arbor Gate, Crystal Creek, Hillview, Northridge, White Tail Creek, and Willow Park. Many of them have Omaha or Gretna mailing addresses. The subdivision name is enough for us to place the stop. Tell us whether the plan is one story or two, and whether a lower level is finished space you actually use.
South Streams is a newer subdivision near 204th and Q Street, in the Gretna district, with split-level and walkout lots. A walkout means the lower floor opens to the yard, so that level is often a family room and sometimes a bathroom, not a closed cellar. Mention it and it goes on the list. 204th Street is also Nebraska Highway 31, the north-south road that meets Highway 6 and I-80 in town. If your directions are 204th and Q, you are on this route even when the post office line still reads Omaha.
Gretna Crossing Park covers 157 acres and was completed in September 2023. It has trails, sports fields, an 18-hole disc golf course, a fishing pond, dog parks, an amphitheater, and a splash area, and it is home to the Gretna Crossing YMCA. If the door you use faces the park, tell us which door that is. If you want the patio or deck included, it is the $25 add-on already printed on the cost page.
Gretna Public Schools opened a second high school, Gretna East High School, on August 10, 2023. The teams are the Griffins. The building is at 18102 Lincoln Road. That street address uses an Omaha mailing address, because the district reaches well beyond the city limits. Name the school if it is the landmark you want us to use.
On the booking app, one bedroom and one bathroom starts at $99, and two bedrooms and one bathroom starts at $119. Five or more bedrooms starts at $249. Weekly service is 15 percent under the one-time figure, every two weeks is 10 percent under, and monthly is 5 percent under. An apartment is $10 under the house with the same bedrooms and baths. A condo is $5 under. The oven interior and the refrigerator interior are $35 each. Cabinet interiors are $45. A garage sweep is $30 when you want that floor included. Those figures match the booking app and the table on the cost page.
This service is residential cleaning. You do not have to be home if a lockbox, a garage keypad, or a spare key is set. Say where pets will be. Supplies come with the crew. Everyone who comes inside has passed a background check, and the work is insured.
Reserve the visit on the booking page, call (712) 435-2220, or text (402) 401-4842. Give the cross street or the subdivision, the bedroom and bath counts, and whether the lower floor is living space.
Online booking in Gretna starts at $99 for 1 bed / 1 bath and $119 for 2 bed / 1 bath. Recurring service is 15% off weekly, 10% off every two weeks, and 5% off monthly. See Gretna prices.
McKenna Avenue is the older downtown grid, with City Hall and the children's library. Village Square, where Highway 6 meets Highway 370, is the business corridor that took over in 1979. Say which one, and whether the house has stairs or a finished lower level.
Yes. Neighborhoods listed under Gretna include Tiburon, Pebblebrooke, Palisades, Standing Stone, Cedar Ridge, Falling Waters, and South Streams near 204th and Q. Many use an Omaha or a Gretna mailing address. Give the cross street. Gretna East High School, at 18102 Lincoln Road, is itself an Omaha mailing address because the district extends past the city limits.
If the door you use faces the park, say so. A South Streams walkout means the lower floor opens to the yard. Mention that floor, and its bath if it has one, so both are on the list.
Name McKenna Avenue, Highway 6 and 370, or the subdivision, and say whether a lower level is lived in.
