One-story House of Nines cottages, apartments on the Golden Mile, and houses along Thompson Creek.
📞 (712) 435-2220 Get Free QuoteLa Vista is the small Sarpy County city tucked against Omaha. Wikipedia records the incorporation date as February 23, 1960, and the 2020 census as 16,746 people in 7,249 housing units, on 3.28 square miles. Omaha and Ralston border it on the north, Papillion on the south, Bellevue on the east, and Interstate 80 on the west. ZIP 68128 is the one we book. The name was chosen by the first residents because it means "the view," looking southeast over the Big Papillion Creek basin.
A developer laid out 335 houses here in 1959. They were priced at $9,999, which is where the nickname House of Nines comes from. The Omaha World-Herald's neighborhood profile describes them as small one-story, two-bedroom houses with no garage and no basement. Buyers painted the interiors themselves. The first families moved in during January 1960. The city's first official census that year counted 1,360 people. G. Stanley Hall Elementary opened on the original plat in 1964. Garages, extra rooms, patios, and decks were added in later years. The Nines in Central Park is the city's tribute to that first neighborhood. If your house is one of those originals, a standard clean is a single level: a compact kitchen, one bath, two bedrooms, and the living room. A basement or a garage exists only if a later owner added it. Tell us if yours was added, because that is new floor and a new dirty door, not part of the 1959 plan.
The 2020–2024 American Community Survey (table B25034) estimates 6,958 housing units. The single largest decade is 2000 to 2009, with 1,959 units. The 1970s account for 1,326 and the 1960s for 817. Only 132 date to the 1950s, and 131 to 1939 or earlier, so the original village is now a small share of the doors. Table B25024 estimates 3,841 units are single-family detached. The rest are mostly apartments: 1,000 in buildings of 10 to 19 units, 956 in buildings of 5 to 9, 559 in buildings of 50 or more, and 394 in buildings of 20 to 49. The survey estimates no mobile homes. A booking here is either a detached house or an apartment. The booking app prices an apartment $10 under a house with the same bedroom and bath counts, and a condo $5 under. That adjustment is metro-wide. It is already footnoted on the La Vista cost page.
The city's Corridor 84 page calls the stretch of 84th Street from Giles Road to Harrison Street the Golden Mile, and says it has been the main business strip since La Vista was established in 1960. The same page says the decline started when Walmart closed in 2006 and Baker's closed in 2008. The Vision 84 plan turned the old golf course into Central Park, meant to connect a new City Centre with the existing civic campus. City Hall is at 8116 Park View Boulevard. The 84th Street redevelopment plan, a city document, identifies 84th Street as Highway 85 and draws the area as both sides of that corridor between Harrison and Giles, plus the ground between 84th and 72nd along Thompson Creek. It names Park View Boulevard and Brentwood Drive as primary streets, and it includes La Vista Falls Golf Course along with Central Park and Champion Park.
Thompson Creek is the east-west thread through that ground. On January 7, 2025, the City Council took up an agreement with the Nebraska Department of Transportation for a hiking and biking trail along the creek, from the Keystone Trail at South 69th Street and James Avenue to the trail connection in Central Park at Edgewood Boulevard. A house described as "by the creek" or "at Edgewood" is this route. Southport sits at the other end of Giles, where Interstate 80 meets the city. The city has processed planned-unit plans there, including Southport East. An address in Southport is still ZIP 68128 and still this price table. The Astro, the theater and outdoor amphitheater at City Centre, opened in 2023. People use it the way other towns use a water tower: as a way to say which side of 84th they mean.
Wikipedia, citing the Census Bureau's 2020 school-district map, says almost all of La Vista is in the Papillion-La Vista Public Schools, with a small section in Millard Public Schools. The elementary schools the city article lists are Portal, Parkview Heights, La Vista West, and G. Stanley Hall. La Vista Junior High is the middle school. Papillion-La Vista Senior High is the high school. Naming the building is enough for us to place the stop. It does not create a second rate. The La Vista page lists the other services in town.
One bedroom and one bath starts at $99. Two bedrooms and one bath starts at $119. The one-time column runs up to $249 for five or more bedrooms. Weekly bookings are 15 percent off that column, every two weeks 10 percent off, and monthly 5 percent off. Inside the oven is $35, inside the refrigerator is $35, and inside the cabinets is $45. A renter pricing a move-out should know that move-out work is quoted from size and condition, while a recurring clean of an occupied apartment uses the table.
A one-story cottage often does fine on a monthly visit. A larger detached house, especially one from the 2000s with more baths, is the house people usually put on an every-two-weeks schedule. An apartment between tenants is a one-time clean, not a weekly plan. The arithmetic is on weekly versus every-two-weeks cleaning cost. The broader question of cadence is on how often to clean your house. What this visit leaves for a deeper reset is on deep clean versus standard clean.
Tell us which of the three houses you have: an original one-story, a later detached house, or an apartment. Add the school or the cross street (84th, Giles, Harrison, Park View, Brentwood, or Edgewood). If you will be at work, leave a lockbox or a code. Note pets. The crew brings supplies, has passed a background check, and is covered by insurance. Preparation steps are on how to prepare for house cleaners. Staying or leaving is covered on do I need to be home.
The service page for the whole metro is residential cleaning. Reserve the visit on the booking page, call (712) 435-2220, or text (402) 401-4842.
Online booking in La Vista starts at $99 for 1 bed / 1 bath and $119 for 2 bed / 1 bath. Recurring service is 15% off weekly, 10% off every two weeks, and 5% off monthly. See La Vista prices.
The price row is still bedrooms and bathrooms. An original House of Nines house is one story, with a basement or a garage only if one was added later. An apartment is $10 under the house with the same bedroom and bath counts. Say which one you have so the visit matches the rooms.
Yes. Thompson Creek between 84th and 72nd, Park View Boulevard, Brentwood Drive, Central Park, and Southport at the I-80 and Giles Road interchange are all ZIP 68128. The subdivision does not change the price row.
